This group of material is made up of working papers and a series of notebooks containing Lindop's ideas, drafts and reworkings of poems, covering a period of 36 years. Work which has appeared in all of his published collections - as well as numerous journals and magazines - is represented here, and the papers document Lindop's development as a poet from his undergraduate days onwards.

Arrangement
The papers are divided into two series, based on format. The notebooks make up the vast majority of the material, and a small file of loose papers forms a second series.
