RD as Thomas Becket giving the Archbishop's Sermon from T.S. Eliot's Murder in the Cathedral. He acted this part at the Old Vic in March 1953 and it was subsequently released as a record by Columbia. This extract, however, is identified on the box as a BBC tape made on the above date, possibly taken from the Columbia recording, and presumably intended for BBC broadcast.
