[Letters written from Edgeware Road, London]

To Miss Tooth in Hoxton Square, London. Charles has recovered from the aches and pains arising from his return journey from Bath in Somerset on Thursday.

He had a lovely day visiting Kingswood School, although he did feel slightly depressed when he reflected that he had been accompanied the year before by his late dear sister. He was not able to acquire any of her letters during his stay in the Bristol area.

He trusts that the parcel from Miss Sarah Ann Rogers arised safely.

His visit to Bristol was full of visits to local families, the most interesting of which was his meeting with Mrs Hannah Moore.

In a postscript he mentions that his brother Samuel was also in Bristol to give a concert at the Church of St Mary Redcliffe, while Charles's own thanksgiving anthem was performed to his great satisfaction at the Cathedral.
