Scope and Content

From Charles Wesley in Bristol to [Ebenezer] Blackwell in Change Alley, London, written in haste to thank him for his letter. Since his marriage he has not felt 'the least hurry or discomposure of mind…wch I esteem as a sign of favour from God'.

As a 'novice' in marriage Charles looks to Blackwell as a good example 'who have so long experienced the honourable estate'.

He looks forward to seeing Blackwell a week tomorrow.
