Correspondence with and relating to English poet John Heath-Stubbs. /2-5 are letters from Heath-Stubbs himself; the other correspondence is between Schmidt and Heath-Stubbs's agents David Higham Associates Ltd, and Timothy O'Keeffe of Martin Brian and O'Keeffe Ltd, publishers. Topics include: complimentary copies, review copies and potential reviewers of Heath-Stubbs's Carcanet poetry collection The watchman's flute (1978); royalties for the book; copyright permission for republication of one of the poems; and early plans for Heath-Stubbs's Carcanet selection of Thomas Gray's poems [published in 1981].
