Book file containing manuscript and proofs of Ian Campbell (ed.), Nineteenth-century Scottish fiction: critical essays (Manchester: Carcanet New Press, 1979). The book contained contributions by Eric Anderson, David Buchan, Ian Campbell, Robert and Vineta Colby, David Daiches, Alastair Fowler, Douglas Mack, Colin Manlove and Thomas Richardson. The book was typeset by Woodspring Press and printed by Billings. Barnes and Noble (the import division of New York publishers Harper and Row) took 500 copies for the American market which necessitated altering some of the preliminary sheets for the American edition.
