Manuscript of the collection which is in typescript form. Foliation and instructions on layout in red ink were probably made by Carcanet personnel. Annotations in blue are in the hand of Michael Schmidt; some of these involve emendations to poems - although it is not clear whether Schmidt was adding authorial revisions or undertaking editing himself. Black corrections and emendations are probably authorial. The manuscript includes one additional poem in the 'Why are our Hands in Amber?' sequence, which has been crossed through and did not appear in the published version.
