Scope and Content

Bundle of papers relating to the final section of the book, Rickword's translations from Arthur Rimbaud. Includes: letters from Rickword relating to the Rimbaud translations and proofs; two different holograph versions of Rickword's prefatory note to the translations; sheets of copy-editor's queries about the Rimbaud pieces, and notes to Gareth Reeves (GER) who was obviously typesetting the section; a set of Rickword's heavily corrected and emended page proofs of the section; and further page proofs of 'The Drunken Boat' and 'Vertigo', also emended by Rickword but representing a stage on from the heavily edited proofs.
