Contains 5 files of material relating to ASC meetings. Contains letters from the ASC Research Manager [later the ASC secretary] to ASC members and the secretaries of the CCAB bodies. Contains letters of comments on various issues from: companies; firms of accountants; and representative bodies [usually members of the Consultative Group]; to the ASC Research Manager/Secretary. Contains letters from the ASC chairman to the ASC members and secretaries of the CCAB bodies. These letters contain, or refer to, agenda and attachment papers for ASC meetings. Attachment papers include: minutes [general, and detailed records of the meetings]; notes of other meetings; draft exposure drafts and standards; draft technical releases; letters from parties internal and external to the ASC; secretariat notes and papers; ASC progress reports; working party reports; material from the ICAEW's Technical Committee [TC] and Technical Advisory Committee [TAC]; papers sent to the ASC by academics; copies of statements by overseas accountancy bodies; and consultative papers issued by various groups.
