This class consists mainly of typescript drafts of Alison Uttley's books, although there are some fair copies and copies marked for the printer among them. Alison Uttley's usual way of working was to type the story straight out and then correct it by hand, and this is reflected here. The items are all from her `little people' books or collections of essays, and there are no examples of her novels.
