Sent from Carlisle, care of the Worshipful Chancellor Ferguson, regarding Dora's letter, not crossing the lake because it was rough, not returning tomorrow, the Chancellor's daughter going to see them, Gershom beginning a portrait of Mr Blake, plans to return, Gershom giving a good lecture, trip to Wetheral, and waiting to the Chancellor to return from a banquet with the Speaker of the House of Commons.
