  • Ataxiae obstaculum; being an answer to certain queries, dispersed in some parts of Gloucestershire (1677) was George Vernon’s reply to Sir Thomas Overbury’s manuscript of 1671 entitled Queries proposed to the serious consideration of those who … persecute .. upon the account of religion. Overbury replied to Ataxiae obstaculum with Ratiocinium vernaculum (1678).
