This collection consists of the following items:

Unpublished work entitled 'Nursing at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary' by HM Crompton OBE, 1991. This work concerns the history of nursing at this institution from 1742 until the late 1970's. Crompton cites the Minute Books of Sisters Meetings at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Woodend Hospital, Journals of the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Nurses League, and Minutes of the Aberdeen Group Committee The Benevolent Fund for Nurses in Scotland as sources for the work.

Administrative / Biographical History

Crompton trained at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, qualifying in 1947. She later worked at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
