'Making money for our Society' an account written by Margaret H Sanderson of a jumble sale. It was run by Miss Elizabeth Denby in the Portobello Road. The waiting crowd surged in when the doors were opened 'they came and took our things without payment' so we only got £2 or £3 for about £Q10. Value of goods. She was ashamed at the failure and made up the money to £5. Undated but obviously refers to the suffrage period before the first world war.
