Scope and Content

Refers to Roger's 'escapade' in London with 'Lalla and Ot' (Lady Ottoline Morrell) and then his retreat to his pots as a rest cure. Gives news of Lytton and describes the violent quarrel they had on the subject of prostitutes. She and Ray have concocted a scheme for settling Lady S and the Bussy Family at Cambridge. No date, but probably early in 1818 as it refers to Lytton's total rejection from the army on medical grounds which took place in May 1918 and his return to Tidmarsh where he had taken over the Mill House late in 1917.
