Scope and Content

Maternity Alliance Information Line HandbookHandbook used by advisers from Freshfields staffing the Maternity Alliance telephone Information Line. A number of large legal firms in the City of London supported the project, providing volunteers for shift work on the Advice Line. The material is separated into sections, labelled alphabetically from 'A' to 'G'. The sections are A: Induction Pack; B: Leaflets & Factsheets'; C: Training Handbook; D: Inland Revenue E15 & E15 (Supplement) 2005; E: Benefit Rates; F: Cases Update; G: Other Information.

The material includes a report of a review of the MA Information Service, 2004; job description for volunteers on the MA Information Line; the MA Strategic Plan 2004/5-2008/9; various MA policies; a summary of key maternity and parental rights cases, with judgements (Jun 2004). in various courts.
