Josephine Butler to 'Dear Friends' [Miss Forsaith etc.]

Photocopy of a letter. Written from [Wooler, Northumberland].

Says that her sight is dim, but she has the whole Bible printed in parts and in large print. She possesses the 'Hexepla' (containing the five oldest translators of the Scriptures into English) and remembers many instructive and almost amusing things illustrating the growth of the English language. Tells her friend to let her know soon 'about the Committee and your fate'.
