Photocopy of letter. Written from Cheltenham.

A visit from Mr Stuart for the weekend he very kindly suggested a visit from her friend and gave her the money for the return fare to Cheltenham. Sends her a scrap from her brother [Charles] in Ireland 'he knows the Bishop who wrote to me in trouble' [see letter of 5 Aug]. He is Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of all Ireland, Dr Alexander. It was he who wrote that short touching 'Soldier's Prayer' which Lord Roberts requested (in South Africa) that every soldier should have a copy of.
