Written from Ewart, Northumberland

Sends her the Edinburgh surgeon's letter to read and asks her to suggest any literature that might help him to answer the objections of his fellow doctors. Also sends her a letter from a doctor of Charleroi, droll but excellent. Return both. Still has five of the household down with influenza including the two children.

'The two dear babes attacked [with flu] it is so pitiful' These were Hetha b 26 Jul 1896; and the baby Horace b 2 Feb 1898 children of George and Mia Butler of Ewart
