This letter deals with the Friends' Association's plan for a two days Conference to be held early in the New Year to which all persons in all the Repeal Associations are invited to take part in, for two days of prayer and consultation. They offer the management of the women's meetings to the Executive of the LNA This will all have to form part of the Agenda at their LNA Committee at Birmingham. Thinks Mr Stansfeld's letter to the Ladies at Belfast should be widely distributed by them at Birmingham.

Date This letter deals with the Friends' Association plan for a two days' Conference to which all persons in all the Repeal Associations are invited for two days of prayer and consultation. This took place 24 and 25 Jan 1883. See Note to letters of 10 and 11 Nov 1882, JB to Miss Priestman. This 'must form part of the Agenda at our LNA Committee at Birmingham.' A special Conference was convened to meet at Birmingham on 7 Nov 1882 with delegates from all Repeal Associations and a 'Parliamentary Committee' formed to carry out the Resolution 'for more vigorous and concerted action'. See account of this 7 Nov 1882. The date of this letter would be just before this meeting at Birmingham on 7 Nov (Tues) (JB was present), Saturday 4 Nov 1882.
