Scope and Content

Photocopy. Written from Coblenz. She and Papa have prolonged their stay in Germany and she is afraid they will not be able to carry out their plan of all of them meeting in Switzerland. By staying on they were also able to see something of Charlie (the youngest boy) and take him on a little tour, a change from Bonn, where he is rather isolated and living rather poorly. Complains that they have had nothing but pouring rain since they left England, but in spite of having to view the picturesque scenery from under dripping umbrellas they have got about and seen everything possible including the 'Apollinarus Fountain' whence is taken all the Apollinarus water for export.
