Letters between Cicely Hey and Thérèse Lessore

Scope and Content

Three letters signed from Thérèse Sickert (nee Lessore) to Cicely Tatlock (nee Hey) . One dated 21 February 1933 on notepaper headed 14, Barnsbury Park, London N.1., with envelope thanking Cicely for giving her a drawing (of Sickert?), and telling her that she should sell the other drawing and wishing her all the success she deserves. Another letter dated 15 July (no year) on notepaper headed 14, Barnsbury Park, London N.1. inviting Mrs Tatlock and her husband R.R. Tatlock to dinner at 8 – “Any day next week – except Wednesday”, and apologising for not writing before “but I was under the impression that my husband was writing”. A letter dated 25 February 1942 addressed from St George’s Hill Bath to Mrs Tatlock with envelope, thanking her for her letter of sympathy on the death of her husband who died 22 Jan 1942. “I know you valued my husband’s friendship very much & must feel his death.”
