B&W photographic print. 'The corpse is wrapped in cloths and bamboo matting, then taken to the village cemetery, which is beside the main path leading to the village. It is placed on a platform under the thatched roof and in front are arranged all the things the deceased may need in the next world. In this case it is a man, because there are wooden representations of daos and spears and of the two mithun he has sacrificed. His cane hat decorated with hornbill feathers his shield, and bamboos cut slantwise showing the number of gennas or ceremonies he has performed are also displayed.'
