Administrative / Biographical History
The Monthly Conference of Ministers (sometimes referred to as 'The Prophets' and 'The Brotherhood') was a regular gathering of ministers in Manchester. It was a small select group (some rules stipulate no more than 15) to which membership was by invite only. The heart of the meetings usually revolved around a formal address followed by a discussion. The Conference was constituted on a formal basis with rules about who could join, the format of meetings, cost of membership etc.
