Papers relating to the work of the University's department of cardiology. The department was set up in 1946 under Professor J. Crighton Bramwell, and was based at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Most of the papers concern the day-to-day running of the department; there is a memorandum by Bramwell (n.d. but probably ca. 1944), concerning his ideas for the department.
